Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Structure and draft non-standard contracts, primarily inbound technology licenses.
- Act as primary negotiator for high-impact, critical contractual negotiations.
- Adapt and apply established company legal positions and policies to non-standard situations.
- Make recommendations based on legal criteria and business considerations.
- Determines appropriate actions/solutions to more complex legal and business issues dealing with clients and customers.
- Performs critical legal work as an Individual Contributor.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years equivalent technology licensing experience, some law firm experience is desirable.
- Licensing experience on in-bound side (integration experience)
- Legal experience in supporting a worldwide manufacturing organization (e.g., experience in negotiating with contract manufacturers, commodity suppliers, OEMs, etc.)
- Experience in handling Food & Drug Administration regulatory matters is a plus (e.g., medical services, health professionals)
- Strong knowledge of contractual law, anti-trust, litigation and IP.
- Multinational/International legal knowledge and expertise & Bilingual skills highly desirable.
- Semiconductor Chip Deal Experience a plus.
- Ability to draft contracts that address complex and difficult issues.
- Ability to select & manage outside counsel.
- Excellent negotiation skills and techniques.
- Requires law degree and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
All candidates must be articulate, demonstrate superior communication, negotiation, people and organizational skills, and be comfortable and confident in dealing directly with all levels of management. Knowledge of networking, service providers or software industries is a strong plus. The successful candidate will be able to work independently but collaboratively with a high energy, talented and fun team of professionals.

The ideal candidate possesses baseline expertise in an area of specialization, is comfortable working independently, and exhibits the poise, presence and decision-making skills to advise senior management on critical legal issues.
