LES Women in Licensing Bay Area September Lunch Seminar
"OPEN SOURCE LICENSING"
SEPT 1, 2004 (WED)
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Venue:
Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
2655 Seely Avenue, San Jose, CA 95134
(Building 5, Pebble Beach Auditorium)

Following our two successful receptions in May and July, Women in Licensing is presenting a lunch seminar on "Open Source Licensing." Open source licensing has become a crucial part of the software development and licensing process. How is open source different from the proprietary or other source code licensing models? What are the benefits and pitfalls of open source licenses? What is the best way to manage the use of open source code within your organization? We have invited a panel of highly accomplished speakers from the open source, in-house and law firm communities to share their best practices and real-life experiences. A question and answer session will follow.
